The
Magician of Time
Lord Pakal Votan (K'inich J'anaab Pakal)
Lord Pakal Votan reigned over the Mayan empire of Nah Chan Palenque
for 52 years (435-830 AD) and he was responsible for the creation of
some of the Mayan civilization's finest art and architecture. He also
guided the Mayan craftsmen of that period in the scripting of stone
monuments with precise astronomical and astrological information.
As the legend has it, Pakal Votan was a ‘Magician of Time’,
a time traveler and inter-dimensional explorer of 13 Ox Lahun Ti K'u
(The 13 dimensions).
Ancient
Mayan-Itzaes proclaimed that the spirit of Pakal Votan came from the
stars to illuminate the Mayan people. They said that after arriving
on earth, he decided to teach humanity the current and mystical sciences.
The
Itzaes also say that he saw mathematics as a cerebral language that
transcends the subjectivity of human verbal experience.
In
his prophecies, Lord Pakal suggested that the closing of the fifth global
epoch will occur on December 21, 2012 AD. During the transitional phase,
the world as we know it will evolve into a different place. He said
that an unprecedented transformation would take place affecting our
galaxy and beyond.
“And to help the people of that time before the great cycle
closes, the discoverer of the message of my tomb must show the people
of the Earth the count of the tun uc, the count of the seven, the
four, and the thirteen. In this way, the knowledge of the fullness
of time will be reestablished, for lost will the people be in a count
that is crooked, the count of the false ones.”
Upon his death, according to the legend, Lord Pakal entered into the
realm of the Thirteen Dimensions, and there, they say he can observe
us at any time he wishes.
Today,
many people speculate that ‘crop circles’ may be the means
by which he is attempting to communicate.
Whatever people believe, Lord Pakal’s status among the Mayans
and many others has set him apart as one of the great iconic and mysterious
figures in history.
The following images are a pictographic story based on Mayan and Zapotec
iconography. The imagery was inspired by Lord Pakal’s teachings
about the 13 Dimensions and his prophecies about the reestablishment
of lunar time. The story line is left solely to the viewer’s imagination.
The reoccurring iconographic theme in “The Manifestation of Change”
is a Kirlian image of a finger extrapolated on PhotoShop. The iconograph
represents man in the transition from the Fifth World into the emerging
Sixth World. The “V” logogram is symbolic of Lord Pakal
viewing unfolding events from another dimension.

The
animated kaleidoscopic backgrounds on this sight were bases on applying
the concept of the 'thirteen Count' to geometric patterns. The site
